Doggie!

We had the opportunity of watching our neighbors cute little dog this weekend. The kids had a ball with her. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't realize how attached we would all get to her. Yesterday after her family came to pick her up Elli got REALLY sad and was trying really hard not to cry as she told me how much she loved and missed the dog. I felt so bad and just couldn't hold back the tears. As soon as Elli realized that I was crying she burst into tears. It was so sad, it felt like our own dog had just died as dumb as that sounds. I tried to comfort her the best that I could, but that dog was all she could think about or talk about for the rest of the day. Then last night we put her in bed and a few minutes later she came running into my room with a very sad look on her face. I asked her what was the matter, but she couldn't answer me because she was trying not to cry so I said "You miss that doggie don't you?" at that second she burst into tears a second time. I had to promise her that we could go see the dog today before she would calm down and go to sleep. They really had so much fun with her and she kept them so entertained. Mother's Day!

I know it's late but I wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to my Fantastic Mom and Most Amazing Mother in law. I couldn't ask for better Mothers! I love you both so much and miss you so much that sometimes it's unbearable and I just have to cry. I hope you both had a great day Yesterday!

10K

I ran my first 10k ever! Actually it was about a month & 1/2 ago I just haven't gotten around to posting a picture. It was so fun! I was pretty slow. I think my time was 1 hour 40 sec. I can't even remember because it was so long ago. There were ONLY about 35,000 people who ran this race. It was so crazy, but so awesome! hopefully next year I can be a little faster, but I won't be too down on myself since it was my first. Milt ran it in about 50 min. but he did it with a broken ankle that he thought was just a sprain at the time. I don't know how he did it?

All Boy & All Girl!

About a month ago Shawn fell out of a shopping cart and broke two of his front teeth, a top and a bottom. Then a couple of days ago He fell on the cement and scraped his nose.  There has been goose eggs and other bumps and bruises in between then and now, but Just not anything this visible and between his scraped up nose and his chipped teeth he looks pretty stupid! Classic boy though right? 

As for my girl! I don't know how well you can see it in this picture of her laughing and smiling, but about 2 seconds before I snapped this shot she was BALLING because I gave her the wrong sippy cup (Notice the red eyes and the tears) This is a daily occurrence and usually happens multiple times in a day. Classic Girl though right?
