For Milt's spring break a few weeks ago (sorry I haven't posted for so long) we went to outer banks NC. We stayed at a beach house owned by one of the other med. students parents, so not only did we get to stay in it for free, but this house was awesome! It was right on the beach which was a blast and it was huge! There were 10 bedrooms and I think 8 bathrooms. There were 10 other couples that were with us, actually i think there was more, just not at the same time. It was so fun because we were all 1st or 2nd year Medical students and they were all LDS too so we had a lot in common and it was so much fun! It was really nice weather the first 4 days we were there, it was in the 60's and 70's so we were able to play on the beach and even jump in the cold water. My friend Crystal and I went running on the beach a couple of times and after our run we would jump in the water a few times, It was so cold it made me sting, but it was really fun regardless. After we jumped in we would lay out on the beach for a while. Our husbands were mad at us because we left them inside with the kids this whole time, sorry honey! Anyway, the last few days of our trip were kinda cold and a little rainy so the beach wasn't great, but there were so many cool things to do down there. We visited a few lighthouses and museums and an aquarium. The Wright brothers first flight was there which I didn't know, so we were able to see the monument and museum which was just down the road from where we stayed, Very Cool! One of the Cute girls there with us is a photographer and photo editor, she was nice enough to take our pictures for us on the beach (what a sweetheart!). Our pictures turned out really good, but I will have to post them later. I Thought it was awesome though, I mean, how many people get the opportunity to have their family pictures taken on the beach? Maybe more people than I think, but still. Well that's all I'm going to say for now, I have to get Elli to the library for story time and an Easter egg hunt! This is our first day on the beach.
We did karaoke one night and Shawn really got into it! He sang and danced and flirted with all the hot chicks!
The next two were taken at the Corolla Light House.
These next couple we were on a fun nature walk.
Playing on the beach some more!
Mini Golf! The kids had a ball! Shawn just wanted to throw his golf ball at everyones head.
Cape Hatterus Lighthouse is the tallest light house in America, Very Cool!
I can't remember the name of this one right now.
These were at a museum on Roanoke Island. It was the First English settlement before Jamestown that failed. It was very kid oriented and they had a lot of fun!
Elli's favorite part was the hot tub at the beach house.
And playing with her friend/cousin Marriah!
This is at the wright brothers museum. After we took this picture Shawn broke the bottom of his Astronaut and it fell down, such a Shawn thing to do
Sorry about all the pic's, it was just too fun not to share.
