Places to go, People to see!

I am SOOOO Excited for the rest of this year!!! We have made plans to spend Thanksgiving with Milt's sister Tia and her family in Massachusetts. Also, We made Plans with some of our very close friends (James and Martha) to visit them in Philadelphia Right before Christmas. We will also be taking a day trip to New York with them to see a few sites, and as if that isn't enough my mom and sister just booked their plane tickets to come see us for a few days!!! They will be here the 5th-9th of Dec. I am so excited! (Wish you were coming too Brand.) Oh and not to mention Christmas, New years, and our anniversary too. It will be really fun to see you all and I can't hardly wait! It's great having fun things to look forward to.

I'm SOOO excited too! I can't wait to see you guys and spend several days together. Maybe Elli will become more comfortable with James during that time. ;) We can always hope, right?

About 6 months ago, Shawn found a spider on the wall close to the ground. He was on his hands and knees staring at the wall doing something with his fingers. When I asked him what he was doing he got really excited and said "I smashed the spider mommy!!!!!" He was so proud of himself! That was all he talked about for most of the day. The reason I am sharing this now is because He often times will get on his hands and knees in the exact same spot and rein-act the whole thing. For some reason that experience has stuck in his mind. He did it again today and though he hasn't had a hard time remembering it, I know that I will forget so I decided I better write it down.

Mom-Good morning Ell!

Elli- I had a bad dream.

Mom- I'm sorry! What was it about?

Elli- Thomas the Train

Mom- What happened?

Elli- All the other trains crashed into him.

Mom- Oh no! was he ok

Elli- No.

Mom- No? Did he die?

Elli- Kinda.

Mom- Kinda? He can't kinda die, either he did or he didn't

Elli- I think he did die.

Mom- (as Milt walked down the stairs) Well it's a good thing it was just a dream then. Did you tell Dad about your dream?

Elli- I had a bad dream!

Daddy- about what?

Elli- Thomas the Train.

Daddy- What about Thomas the Train?

Elli- All the other trains crashed into him and he died!

Shawn is talking really good now, there are so many things that he says that just crack me up.

Shawn- (In a really loud high pitched voice) I FEEEEEL GOOOOOB (I think most people say good)

Shawn- (As he pulls down on both ears) Dopey Dopey Dopey! Shawn's word for Chocolate- shlaucolat

and his word for Glasses- Glaucolat (chocolate and glasses sound almost the same and aren't even close to sounding like either one, but everything else he say's is just about right on, he's a smart little bugger!)

Shawn- We went to the zoo yesterday and he loved the Tigers! Now every animal he sees, even if he knows what it is he calls it a tiger and he Roars.

Shawn- Every time you try to give him something he doesn't want he Shoves it away and says "WAN IT!!!" I Think it's funny that he leaves out the Don't.

Mom-Ok. How do you play!

Elli-First you have to get really small (as she curls up in a ball) Then you have to put your peel on (pretending to pull a peel up all around her)

She say's this every time we do something wrong like sing the wrong words to a song, or sing the wrong tune, or put a puzzle piece in the wrong place, ect.

Milt and the kids were waiting for me in the car after church a couple of weeks ago for what was probably no longer than five minutes.

Elli-"I hate waiting for mom all the long day!"

She say's this often when she has to wait for something or ride in the car, even if we are not going very far.

Elli-"I don't want to ride in the car for a long day"

or when she has to sit in time out.

Elli-"I don't want to sit here for a long day!"

Elli-"This is taking for a long day!"

It's amazing how long 5 minutes seems to a kid!

It has been a lot of fun lately listening to Shawn talk.

He says a lot of things, but a couple of my favorites are

Shawn- Nigh Nigh!!!!! Nigh Nigh!!!!

He begs to go nigh nigh when he gets tiered, it is so cute! also,

Shawn- Boble!!!! (bottle)

I use a lot of exclamation marks because he says everything with such expression.

Elli loves pizza it's one of her favorite things to eat. On our way home from picking up dinner at Little Ceasars.

Elli- It stinks like pizza in hear!

She loves the sauce there too. We always buy an extra thing of sauce when we go and she eats the entire thing buy herself and the rest of us are lucky if we get any. For some reason she cant say sauce and she calls it sauca.

After a long time of shopping and the kids being cooped up in the car and the shopping cart and the stroller, we got home and I put Shawn down. He must have been really relieved because he got really excited and started running all around

Mom- (speaking in Shawns behalf) I'm free! I'm free!

Elli-He's not free!

Mom-Ya, he's free from the car seat.

Elli- No, I'm free he's one.

After I spilled a huge cup of salsa that got all over the ground me and the fridge.

Elli-Oh man! I didn't even see that one coming! Now I can't ever eat that.

Elli- (as she held a dandilion to my nose) Here mom smell this flower!

Mom- I don't want to It stinks.

Here are a list of things Elli was saying while talking to some balloons. These were all one after another with little or no breaks and many of them were repeated multiple times. The sound of her voice was really annoyed throughout and I think she even threw in a few growls here and there. I thought it was so funny I started writing things down as she said them.

Elli- You need to take a bath. I know you don't want to, but sometimes we have to take baths. You're so impossible. You make me sick. You're such a pain. Your so impossible. Sit in time out. Don't hit. You're so mean. You guys are making me mad and I don't want to be mad. Some days you make me crazy and you hit me and you make me tired.

She left the room after this and I had to finish cooking dinner so I don't know what she said next, but I know she was still rambling on.

Milt left for Utah yesterday as a spur of the moment thing for his Grandma Poll's funeral. I was trying to tell Elli where he was going and why.
Elli- Where is daddy going?
Mom- He's going to Utah for Great Grandma Poll's funeral.
Elli- Why
Mom- Because she died and daddy needs to go to her funeral
Elli- (with a sad, worried look on her face) But I Love great grandma poll.
I didn't think she would take it so hard but she was really upset. We had to explain to her that it was ok and that grandma is happy and that she is with Great Grandpa and Heavenly Father now and she still just kept saying "but I love Great Grandma Poll" I think she gets it now though and she's Ok.

Elli- Mom let's go play golf!

Mom- Golf?

Elli-Ya! I Love golf!
